Mary & Martha’s Kitchen
Background
The mission of Mary & Martha’s Kitchen is to provide nutritional hot meals to area residents who are in need of nourishment and/or companionship.
Lunch is served every Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday from Noon until 1:00 P.M.
Special care is taken to ensure the dignity of participants, who are considered honored guests. This includes the use of real china and flatware vs. disposable, and treating all participants with courtesy and respect.
New Year's Day we provided an extra-special meal. Ordinary meals are simpler but served with the same care.
Who Can Participate?
Mary and Martha’s Kitchen is open to all, no questions asked. No proof of need is required and all are welcome. We believe that the hunger for warmth and companionship is just as real as the need for food.
Participating Groups
The following churches and other groups serve at Mary and Martha’s Kitchen on a rotating basis:
How Can I Help?
Additional volunteers are always needed and welcome, either once or on a regular basis.
All that is required is time and kindness… if you can cook, that’s helpful too, but not necessary.
Since we treat our program participants as honored guests, we encourage our cast to join in the meal with them.
Financial contributions are also always welcome.

When I was thirsty, you gave me to drink.
Now enter into the home of my Father”
